Tadoussac is a small 400 year old Quebec town at the mouth of the Saguenay River where it meets the St. Lawrence River. It's long history has been shaped from fishing and fur trade, logging and farming. Today it's tourism, summer homes and the almost Disney-esque whale watching business. There is a certain passion that brings people back to Tadoussac every summer. For me, the surrounding area harbours a mystic energy that reveals its presence in the air, the sand, the rock and the water. 
I found expressing these sentiments with words unconvincing and incomplete. So I fashioned the idea of Tadoussac in music instead. The majority of the CD was composed in the town of Tadoussac during a rather busy, action packed holiday. The songs are inspired by the visual impact, the uncommon sounds, the affected community and the familiar vibe of Tadoussac and the surrounding area.
